In Kazan overlooking the 1st May Square and in front of the Kremlin there is a statue in memorie of the Tatar Poet Musa Dzhalil (Musa Cälil, Муса Җәлил) who was executed in a Nazi prison in 1944. The height of the statue is almost 8m qnd was erected in 1966. On the background we can see the Kremlin’s Spasskaya Tower (Спасская башня) that is the main entrance to the Kremlin. It was erected in th e16th and has been rebuilt several times. A lot of attentions have been paid as it’s the main Tower.
