Vladimir (Влади́мир) is a city of the oblast of Vladimir. IT’s located between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. It’s a part of the Golden Ring of Russia. Vladimir is the former capital of the medieval Russia. Some monument are protected by the UNESCO.

The Dormition Cathedral

The Dormition Cathedral also called sometimes Assumption Cathedral is the most important church of Vladimir. It was erected between 1158 and 1160. In the medieval Russia it was one of the main church of the Vladimir principality. It’s a part of the “White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal” designated by the UNESCO
