Another big monument in Moscow is the Monument to the Conquerors of space. It’s located at the main entrance of the Vdnkh metro station. Its height is a little bit more than 100m and shows a rocket rising in the sky. The columns represent all the gases and smokes emitted during the launching. There is a museum of Cosmonautics on its base. It was erected in 1964 to commemorates the space exploration of the Soviet Union.
The monument can be seen on ten kopek coin.
