Alyosha is not the only memorial/statue in Murmansk. This lighthouse tower is a monument inside a complex dedicated to the sailors who died in peactime. It was opened in 2002. It’s dedicated to any fishermaen, saylors of merchant boats, military, submarine who died since 1945.
The lighthouse ith a height of 17.5m has some observation platforms. There is a kind of museum inside with some plates in memory for the saylors and some books.
Because it’s located on a hill there is a nice view of the city from the memorial.
