A bit in the west of Moscow, around 20km the Arkhangelskoye domain is a perfect place to enjoy a sunny day of summer. It’s 2 km from the city of Krasnogorsk. The garden are full of sculptures, terraces and pavillions. Because of the French sculpture garden it’s called the “Russian Versailles”. It was belonging of russian aristocratic families of the 18-19th Ccenturies. It’s a bit hidden and not well know by tourist. But it’s a really pleasant place.
The estate consists of a Grand Palace (shown on the picture below) and a small Palace. All the park is decorated with antique marble statues. The palace is just on the front of the Moskva river where it’s possible to have a walk along the shore
